Thermography is also known as Infrared Imaging or Thermal Imaging. Those who are professionals in clinical thermography can be a part of this training. They will be able to analyze the skin surface temperatures and thereby detect the physiology of the patient. The normal temperature is compared against the patient’s body temperature and the results are analyzed thereon. The equipment that is used is the infrared cameras or liquid crystal plates. A variety of body ailments are diagnosed such as breast cancer, tumors, nervous system disorder or vascular disorders.

Thermography training helps them improve their technical skills in using the equipment and valid detection of problems. There are three levels of certification. The Level One certification teaches students to use the infrared cameras correctly. They would also be trained on gathering and comparing the data. The Level Two certification trains people on the inspection procedures using software programs to improve the measurement and accuracy skills. Advanced topics like thermal analysis, advanced theory, equipment operations, report generation, etc. are taught. The Level Three certification enables technicians to initiate and manage the infrared thermographic program. All the courses and curriculum covers the current industry standards and specifications. These specifications are updated by the Building Performance Institute on a regular basis.
